Additional time for colleges to conduct final year exams only when demand from UGC
The Commission has already formed a committee to guide the academic session. This will include the admission of the new semester, course, program, mode of study and examination, etc.
Additional time for colleges to conduct final year exams -> Colleges will get extra time to conduct final year students’ examinations only if they demand from the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university will have to write a letter to the Commission for additional time. Based on this, they will be given a fixed deadline. In this, they have to draw the result with the exam. The commission is about to begin preparations to formulate guidelines for the new academic session 2020, which will come in September.
According to a senior central government official
According to a senior central government official, the Supreme Court verdict is valid for all states and universities. However, universities and higher educational institutions cannot decide the date of conducting the examination on their own. The commission has given him a deadline of 30 September. After this, if someone wants to extend the date, then it is mandatory to get permission from the Commission.
The aim is to get the new academic session fully started. Because if a university delays, it will have an impact on the academic session, so the commission will direct the release of examinations and results within a fixed timeframe.
