Zoom most downloaded App in India despite a government warning–>> The video conferencing app zoom has become the most used app in lockdown. School classes from all the countries of the world are running only through the Zoom app, but India is the largest market for Zoom. The zoom video calling app is the most downloaded in India. According to the sensor tower
According to the sensor tower report, the zoom app has been the most downloaded in India. In India, the percentage of downloading of the zoom app is 18, while in the US it is 14 percent. The thing to note here is that even after the Indian government’s warning, the download of zoom has increased. The government had termed it unsafe in terms of privacy. US company Zoom app is being used more than the company expected in lockdown. This has been accepted by the CEO of the company itself, although questions have also been raised about zoom privacy and security. Zoom recently partnered with end-to-end encryption startup Keybase after privacy questions arose.
Bleeping Computer report
Last month, Bleeping Computer claimed in its report that five lakh accounts of Zoom had been hacked and personal data was being sold on the Dark Web for a nominal price. According to the report, the data of zoom app users on the dark web was sold at a nominal price of $ 0.0020 i.e. about Rs 0.15 per account. The report also said that the hacking was done through passwords and IDs, meaning that the hackers were already aware of it.
Facebook and Google also took big decisions
In view of the demand for video calling in lockdown, Facebook has released room features in its messenger app and desktop version. Facebook has released the room feature in Messenger, after which, up to 50 people can simultaneously make video calling with Facebook Messenger. The special thing is that anyone can join Messenger room video calling only through an invite link, even if they do not use Facebook. More Features like zoom are also provided in the messenger room
Google meat-free for all
Google has also updated its video calling app Meet, seeing the opportunity. Let me tell you that before that Google Meet was only for G-Suite users. G-Suite President Javier Solaro said that we have announced to make Google Meat-free and we have taken this decision to keep the users of the world close to them during the Corona epidemic.
