Section 52(2): c (right to amend 15th Schedule)
Section 55: Fixation of salary and allowances of Commissioner.
Section 56(2): Granting leave of Commissioner and appointing any other officer to act as Commissioner in his place.
Section 57: To appoint Commissioner temporarily in case of death, resignation, or removal of Commissioner.
Section 102 (c): Withholding payment in the event of failure of the Municipal Corporation to take any action required by the Government in various matters.
(d): Temporary payment for such works which are urgently required by the Government in the public interest.
Section 202 (c): Commissioner not to spend an amount exceeding rupees 10 lakhs except with the approval of the Standing Committee, as may be fixed by the Government from time to time.
Sections and Powers of DMC Act under Delhi Government
Section 330 (a): To exercise his powers and discharge his functions on behalf of the Commissioner under the direction and control of the Government.
Section 372(2): If the Government so requires, the Municipal Corporation shall build an infectious disease hospital.
Section 427(2): The schemes related to the improvement of the municipal corporation will have to be approved by the government.
Section 480(2): Taking approval from the government of the act made by the municipal corporation.
Section 489: Taking approval from the government to issue guidelines in relation to primary schools.
Section 512: Right to exercise special provision in respect of area transferred from New Delhi to Delhi.
