Flipkart has shut down all its services due to lockdown, The effect of coronavirus infection is increasing in the country. So far 9 people have died due to the virus. To prevent this infection of the epidemic, the lockdown has been implemented across the country from Tuesday night. All the services have been stopped for the next 21 days except for the essential service.
In the event of a lockdown, e-commerce companies have also decided to stop their business for some time. E-commerce company Flipkart said it has temporarily halted operations and services, including grocery items. This decision was taken in view of the lockdown for 21 days. However, e-commerce platforms were allowed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to provide essential goods and services.
Flipkart has temporarily banned orders from its three supply chains – Kirana, non-big items and big items – from 25 March.
Flipkart has given this information through its website, where it is written in a post, “Hello, Indian colleagues, we are temporarily stopping our work. Your needs have always been our priority and we promise that as much as possible We will be back to serve you soon.
Flipkart said, “The difficult situation has never been seen. It has never happened before that people had to live separately to stay safe. Never before has it happened to help the country You have to sit. We request you to stay at home and be safe, we will be at your service again. ”
In an internal email sent to employees, Flipkart Senior Vice President Adarsh Menon wrote that senior officials would evaluate how to roll back the supply chains in consultation with the government and stakeholders, but no order would be accepted at present.
