Hari Om Rai, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Lava International said that we have at least 600 to 650 employees in China in the field of product design. We have now transferred the design work to India. Our sales requirements in India are being met by the local factory. He said that we have been exporting some mobile phones from our factory in China, this work will now be done from India.
During the lockdown period in India, Lava fulfilled its export demand from China. Rai said that my dream is to export mobile devices to China. Indian companies are already exporting mobile chargers to China. Our situation will improve with the incentive scheme related to production. So now the entire business will be done from India only.
In recent years, India has become a major hub for mobile phone manufacturing. Currently, there are more than 200 mobile phone and accessories companies in India. India is a huge market for any mobile phone company. In view of this, many companies have set up their plants here.
