‘One Nation – One Ration Card’ scheme launched for the first time, beneficiaries will benefit
The Central Government’s ambitious scheme ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme started on Friday. Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan launched the scheme. Currently, as a pilot project, the scheme has been started in two cluster states Andhra Pradesh-Telangana and Maharashtra-Gujarat.
After this, residents of Andhra Pradesh can now take food grains from any ration shop in Telangana and residents of Telangana. A similar rule will also apply to the residents of Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Target to be implemented across the country by June 2020

Gradually, this scheme will be implemented across the country. After the implementation of this scheme across the country, beneficiaries will be able to take their share of grain from any ration shop anywhere in the country.
The government aims that the scheme of ‘one country, one ration card’ will be fully implemented by June 2020 across the country. Even in the last week of June, Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan had given a year to implement the scheme after meeting with all the states and union territories.
