Evaluation of High School and Intermediate Exams Postponed, The evaluation of the UP Board 2020 high school and intermediate examinations has been postponed until 2 April. The evaluation started on Monday and was to end in ten days but has now been postponed due to coronavirus.
Any decision on the evaluation will be taken after April 2, so now the result of board examinations will not be possible in April. This year 56.7 lakh candidates were registered, out of which approximately 5 lakh had left the examination. Approximately three crore copies are to be evaluated. Teachers’ unions were constantly demanding the postponement of the assessment.
41% of teachers did not arrive to check the copy on the first day of Corona’s awe
On the first day of the assessment, which started Monday, 41 percent of the teachers did not reach the evaluation center to check the copy. Cited being ill or being asked when asked the reason. DIOS has issued notice to absent teachers. Five centers have been set up in Gorakhpur for evaluation of board examination copies. Duty of 3,196 teachers has been imposed for evaluation of copies at these centers. On the first day only 1868 teachers arrived, 1328 teachers were absent.
There was no sanitizer and mask at any center
Despite the instructions of the Principal Secretary and the Secondary Education Council Secretary, the five assessment centers built in the district on Monday did not have any resources for sanitation, mask, soap and other resources for the prevention of corona and caution. Center administrators said that soap and sanitizer would be ordered by evening. Along with this, all places will also be cleaned.
