Why Russia’s corona vaccine is suspected, will India buy this vaccine!
Will India buy this vaccine even after WHO, USA, and the UK do not trust
India and Russia are good friends. Recently, during the time of Corona, the country’s defense minister has also returned by visiting Russia. According to some media reports, Russia also wants to sell this vaccine to India. But so far there has been no official response from India. After the claims related to the vaccine of Russia on Tuesday, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that the expert group formed on the vaccine will decide about it.
An important meeting is going to be held on Wednesday about when and how to get the Corona vaccine in India. This meeting will be chaired by NITI Aayog member VK Paul. There will also be a discussion on whether India will buy their vaccine from Russia or not. Before this meeting, AIIMS director Dr. Randeep Guleria said that India has to find out two things before deciding to buy Russia’s vaccine. The first is what their trial data says. For example, how many people were tried, what were the results, and how long did it prove to be effective.
It will also be necessary to find out whether this vaccine is safe or not. In an interview to a private television channel, he said that India should take steps towards buying a vaccine from Russia only after being convinced on both these parameters. It is important to know here that indigenous vaccine trials are going on in India too. Phase two, phase three trial of India Biotech vaccine is going on. With this, the Serum Institute of India has tied up with Oxford for the vaccine in Britain which has reached the third stage of the trial. India also has the capacity to produce vaccines on a large scale. Therefore, the experts do not seem very excited about the vaccine agreement with Russia.
